I loved the Big Game this year, and I can't wait for the next event.
Great to meet all of the guys who I didn't know, and to see all of my old friends. I really enjoyed building that crazy army, and I couldn't have asked for a better first game of playing orks than against CTerry's perfectly themed Salamanders army and with Derling Tim looking over my shoulder and helping with his experience.
Your army, Tim, is the spectacular. I think everyone's modeling and painting skills are just getting better and better, it's really cool to have played against some of you for like 8 years now and to see the levels that your hobby skills are reaching. The overall level of both armies and terrain for this game were by far the best yet. The custom terrain pieces that Dale put together for the board just made the weekend.
Also the firebases that both Crimsonfist and Mr Macho built were unbelievably cool.
Thanks also to Dale and Beth for putting me up for the weekend, and Irontusk for buying me breakfast.
On another note though. . . Wizgrot may have taken Mungus' Condo, but weeze got da Clona. Yes we do. An weeze got da hospital. An weeze got da feckin junkyard. An weeze got da feckin front feckin gate ta Mungustown, an dat one hill on da right-hand side too. An weeze got Meganobz wot neva even got shot. An weeze got lotsa zzap gunz an a skorcha wagon an a mess a'boyz, soes if I whaz some little grot wit big ideas an a coupla blown up stomps, I woudn't be gettin no funny ideas in my grotty little head!!
So I'm only gonna ask dis question da one time, an da one time only. An I'm a-gonna asks it in da most reasonable way possible.
Who owns Mungustown?
Feckin Piszfoot owns feckin Mungustown!!!!
All the rest of yous is just fancypantz. An somebody's gonna get a stompin if dey don't watch der shitz.

Holy crapola, that battle was awesome. I totally agree that the 'forgone conclusion' was totally irrelevant other than to make the game even cooler.
I really enjoyed this, and I will be touting the awesomeness of D-company for years to come. Thank you guys for inviting me and letting me play. I don't think I've had that much fun rolling bunk dice in my life. just know that Dale and Jay are now my new targets with their unkillable Stompas...
Oh, and Deathwing terminators are still the best armored troops in the galaxy- take that!!!

All in all it was good. I was not sure what to expect, though now I think I might have to drop 300+ dollars on some shadow swords and land raiders. I had thought there would be more ork infantry out there and planned accordingly, but I see that the titans and super heavy's can really dominate the game (at least at the front lines). I am happy to have caused one apcolypitic explosion (blessed be the holy dreadnought chain fist), sadly it was only a 6" or 7" Radius...
Maybe for next time we could do an entire player turn Friday night? Or to make sure every one gets their kicks in, incorperate some elements of planet strike. The six foot rule was good and helped things from getting too confused.
Only complaints are about the slow food service and the fact that the Soda machine at the hall was empty.
