Hey everyone, just wanted to post some pics of my Valkyrie (from some urging from penn dull). This was my first attempt painting anything with a airbrush. I haven't built a brand new kit and painted it right away in a long time. on a side note this kit needs to be painted in steps, cockpit, cargo bay, outside, and canopy.

was trying for a fade from blue on the bottom surfaces to a grey on the sides to a white on top.

a new technique i tried out. used a rust and silver colored pencil to create wear marks. (reminded me of a snow speeder)

interior view. Yes i made door gunners. made them removable(never again) you can't model the gunners in their positions (and swing them both in)and still close the doors :(

The wear-and-tear pencilled looks far better than you described it! It really completes the model.

Fantastic work!

Great paint job...but...it's lacking one very crucial item:

Some sexy nose art!! (this isn't the "pure o' heart" space marines - these are sex-starved guardsmen! :P)

Although, this might fit better in 40k:

Substitute the writing for "To Whom It May Concern" and you've got yourself a badass plane!

[[honestly, it's a great looking model already and I don't blame you if you leave it as is. That being said...a sexy lady on a bird never made it look worse :P]]

personally i think it's essential to any model plane of any type or time period. but that's really just me...

EDIT: the shark mouth is an appropriate alternative (probably easier too)
