What do you think...

- Hive Guard, 4+ save, BS3...Range 36, S8 AP4, Assault 2 (no line of sight required)

or

- Zoanthrope, 3+ inv save, BS4..., Range 18, S10 AP1, Lance (psychic power)

Both roll in at about 50pts/model...Hive Guard is a new elite choice.  Zoans still a heavy choice.

What does the Hive Guard shoot that it doesn't need line of sight for?

Did the dex get released?  Or is this info just rumor based?  My answer to the question will come after I know if fex's can be bought as anything other than heavies.  If they can't, then go for the hive guard for the slots cause you love fex's just too much.;)

this is based on info in the January issue of WD, so i would think it is more reliable than rumor.  the dex is due for release on Jan 16.

i appreciate your comment, ethmongul, regarding my fexes.  i would agree except that i can now get at least 3 zoans with 3+I saves for the price of a single fex.  not that i wont take them (they rock), its just that there are some pretty tasty fire support options now that may cause me to forgo a godfex.

another shooting option, which i cannot confirm, unlike the above, it that there is some kind of shooty fex (a "terrorfex" or some such thing) that may be even better as a fire support option.  but since i cant give reliable intel on it, i wont post the specifics.

does this answer your questions?

There was a sneak peak mail on the Terror fex from GW in the last week.
